Kebaya

 


The kebaya is a traditional dress from Malaysia and it's commonly worn by Malaysian ladies. It can be worn in various occasions such as weddings, festivities, or even casual wear and it's usually made up of sarong and blouse.

There are many other popular traditional dresses that originate from Malaysia such as the baju kurung, baju melayu, batik sarong, or even baju kebaya. The kebaya has variations of colors and patterns on them depending on the occasion that they are being worn for. The materials used differ to suit what kind of look one wants to achieve.

The name ‘kebaya’ was derived from Javanese language, which means a tight fitting garment that is worn on top of an upper garment. It helps to create beautiful and elegant look for women who wear it. .
